Can the Paralympics help us become more inclusive of others?

The Paralympics is great and allows everyone to compete, however we think there should be a third event where Olympians and Paralympians have the chance to compete against each other.

Year 5 - Age 9

I think yes as it includes different disabilities in the same sport. I also think no as they can't know if they could beat Olympians so there should be another Olympic and Paralympics for them to mix.

Kallum - Age 9

yes because people will be taken care of even though they are not related to other people so we have to be nice

obed - Age 10

I think yes because it just proves to people who have little faith in Paralympians that these wonderful people can do the same, or even better, in sports with people without disabilities. It's like a superpower ?

Hareer - Age 11

I think the paralympics do make us include and think more about people with disabilities - whether mental or physical. Also, I think the BBC's 'Impossible to Ignore' campaign may make a difference so that people won't tell disabled people they can't do something.

Eddie - Age 10

yes it does because this make people think that there are the ones who are disabled, have no legs or even arms. this will make people think also about their life for ex: were they born like this. and the people who are in the Paralympics, they will be happy.

obed - Age 10

I think the Paralympics can inspire disabled people that you can't do this and you can't do that you just keep looking ahead of you and never give up.

Nahom - Age 9
